Nice catch on the 1160 but I don't think id describe it as portable!! I have and use an 1160 regularly in my shop.īTW DO NOT lift or move the saw around using the table, the trunnions WILL break. You may be able to make out that the motor can run on 115 or 230 volts. A 1 HP 3450 rpm with shafts on either side. The rust on the jointer bed is not as bad as it appears.īoth the saw and jointer a powered by one motor. Oops, the motor is 3450 rpm, the motor pulley is 4 inches and the jointer pulley is 2 inches so the previous owner has this turning at 6900 rpms!! I think somebody 'upgraded' from a 1750 rpm motor to the current 3450 but kept the same pulleys. The manual (VintageMachinery again) says max recommended rpms is 3600. It turns out this has bronze bearings-not ball bearings-and they must be kept oiled. Apparently these did not have serial numbers.īack side. There should be a decal in the lower front, but alas.
